1
Do you take insurance?
Ketamine therapy is an innovative treatment for mental health and chronic pain conditions. Even though ketamine is supported by science, insurance companies have yet to recognize the valuable and life saving effects ketamine has to offer. Therefore, ketamine infusions are an out of pocket expense.
At Wellbeing, we understand that navigating the financial aspect of treatment can be challenging. That's why we offer flexible payment options when needed to help make ketamine therapy accessible to all. Ask us about our payments options.
2
How soon can I start?
Ready to make real changes in your life right now? We are ready to help you! Depending on your availability, and how quickly you fill out your paperwork, we can often get new patients into the clinic within a week.
3
Do I have to see a therapist?
Ketamine therapy can be a transformative journey and an opportunity to work through challenging situations and emotions. We have found that patients who see a therapist have longer lasting results and are able to work through their emotions on a deeper level. We want you to be fully supported throughout your ketamine journey. This means meeting with a therapist several times throughout your ketamine infusion timeframe.
Don’t have a therapist? We can help! We have a network of therapists who are specially trained in psychedelic medicine integration to help bring your transformative ketamine experiences to reality.
4
How do you administer the ketamine?
Our processes are data driven and science backed. We know from research that intravenous (IV) infusions of ketamine are the gold standard of treatment. Although ketamine can be administered several different ways, we have found IV infusions offer the most consistent experience, highest safety profile and, most importantly, the best results when compared to other routes of administration. Unlike the ketamine nasal spray and oral ketamine, IV infusions allow us to tailor the ketamine experience to exactly what you need. At Wellbeing, we recognize that no patient is alike and, therefore, no one’s treatment plan is the same.
5
How many sessions do you recommend?
For patients looking to improve their overall mental health, we recommend six IV infusions. We know from research that one infusion of ketamine just isn’t enough to produce long-lasting transformation. Years of research suggests most patients have great results after completing six IV infusions.
For patients with chronic pain, the treatment protocols can vary based on the type and severity of the condition. Typically we recommend three to six infusions of ketamine to start and a regular schedule of infusions to maintain reduced pain levels.
6
What can I expect at each session?
Each mood infusion session is two hours long. We will start each session by getting you settled into your space. We have comfortable recliners with pillows and blankets, or you are welcome to bring your own. We also have eye masks and iPods for music.
We will then check your vital signs and start a small IV catheter. Once your IV is started, you will receive a slow, continuous infusion of ketamine directly into your bloodstream for approximately 40 minutes. After your infusion ends, we recommend recording your experience in a journal to help you remember. We have snacks and drinks once you finish. You are welcome to relax in your recliner until your friend or family member comes to pick you up.
7
Will I have to come back for additional infusions once I complete my series?
To maintain best results, we do recommend coming back for an occasional infusion in order to maintain the elevated mood and reduced mental health symptoms you achieved in your initial ketamine series. On average, we see patients return to the clinic for one or two infusions every three months. Other patients choose to come in every month to maintain their mental health. Once your initial infusion series is complete, we will help you to create an individualized care plan to optimize your mental health. We offer discounted services to our returning customers.
